Patiala- PRTC pensioners deprived of pension have lost patience and have sounded the bugle of struggle. Despite the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the monthly pension of PRTC pensioners is still pending. Other institutions of Punjab Government have also paid the arrears of Pay Commission.
But from where should we have got the arrears of Pay Commission? We also get pension in installments every month, which should be paid by 10th of every month as per the orders of the Hon'ble Supreme Court. Medical bills of six months are pending, old and sick pensioners are bed-ridden and nothing is being done by the management and the government except bribery.
In a virtual meeting of the representatives of the Central Body of PRTC Pensioners Association, the negative attitude of PRTC Management and Punjab Government towards the rights of PRTC pensioners was condemned and it was declared that if our pension is not paid before 16-7-25, we will be forced to take strict action during the monthly meeting on 16th July.
The association has demanded that the arrears of Pay Commission and medical bills should also be paid immediately. Giving the above information, Hari Singh Chamak, General Secretary of the Central Body of PRTC Pensioners Association said that maximum number of people should attend the meeting to be held in Patiala on the third Wednesday, 16-7-25.
