Garhshankar- Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab organized Dhian Di Lohri in village Moila Wahidpur under the leadership of founder president Satish Kumar Soni. In which 30 Dhian Di Lohri were organized. This was the eighth Dhian Di Lohri organized by the society. On this occasion Prof. Jagdish Rai Spokesperson Punjab said that Lohri is our very ancient festival, earlier only sons' Lohri was celebrated. Now with the change of time, from 2017, with this noble initiative of Adarsh ??Social Welfare Society Punjab, daughters started getting respect and daughters' Lohri started being celebrated. Dr. Harikrishnan Banga said that daughters play a very important role in creating a society, their dignity and respect should be given priority.
Madam Kiran Bala Banga General Secretary District Nawashahr said that daughters are showing their presence in every field today. Founder President Satish Kumar Soni thanked the guests, village Sarpanch Sardar Jaswinder Singh and his Panchayat members and the mothers of the young daughters who came to the organization and made a valuable contribution to this work. On this occasion, 25 daughters were also honored who are raising the name of their village and parents in different fields. Village Sarpanch Sardar Jaswinder Singh thanked the society members for organizing Lohri for daughters in his village.
He said that such initiatives should continue to be taken up in the society. They provide guidance to the society. Eminent social worker Roki Moila said that along with daughters, now sons also need to be guided. There is a need to jointly launch a campaign to save them from the dark era of drugs that is going on. On this occasion, Bibi Balwinder Kaur and eminent social worker Sandy Bhajjal Wale were honored who take care of and treat mute animals.
On this occasion, coats and shoes were distributed to school students with the help of Davinder Singh German resident.
