Una, April 9- District Disaster Management and Authority Chairman and Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal held a review meeting of the preparations made in view of the summer season in his office on Wednesday. During this, he directed the concerned departments to take necessary steps in the summer season so that any unexpected situation can be dealt with in the summer season.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Jal Shakti Department to identify water crisis prone areas and find a quick solution. Along with this, he talked about planning tankers and alternative water supply in water crisis affected areas. The Health Department was instructed to ensure safety management from heat wave, adequate availability of medicines and prepare a database of persons affected or killed by heat wave. The District Food and Supply Controller was instructed to maintain adequate stock and supply system of food grains under the PDS system.
He directed the Forest Department officials to deploy and monitor vigilance teams keeping in mind the possibilities of forest fire. He asked to keep the fire fighting equipment functional in forest fire prone areas so that any untoward incident can be prevented in time.
Instructed the Agriculture Department to make farmers use water conservation techniques to prevent adverse effects on crops in high temperatures. Also, instructed to take necessary steps to remove beehives and hornets from school premises so that any kind of untoward incident can be avoided.
On this occasion, ASP Sanjeev Bhatia, DFO Sushil Rana, Commandant 12th Battalion Bangarh Vikas Saklani, Deputy Director Agriculture Kulbhushan Dhiman, Deputy Director Horticulture KK Bhardwaj, DFSC Rajiv Sharma, Dr. Richa Kalia from Health Department, Ashok Kumar from Fire Department and officials of concerned departments were present.
