Under the National Road Safety Month, drivers and general public who came to get their vehicles passed in Bhagomajra were made aware about road rules.

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 9: As part of the awareness programmes being run under the National Road Safety Month being celebrated across the country from January 1 to January 31, an awareness seminar was organised today with drivers and general public who came to get their vehicles passed in the MVI office Bhagomajra under the leadership of Regional Transport Officer, Mohali Pradeep Singh Dhillon, Ranpreet Singh Bheura (STA PB 01), Kuljit Katoch (MVI), ASI Janak Raj Incharge Traffic Education Cell and Harpreet Singh from 'Wide Road Accident' and Road Safety Force.

On this occasion, detailed information was given about traffic rules in relation to the National Road Safety Month. ASI Janak Raj gave information about traffic rules, boys and girls wearing helmets while driving two-wheelers, not driving at high speed, not driving after drinking alcohol and not violating red lights. Harpreet Singh made people aware about Good Samaritan Act, not to drive at high speed and keeping the speed limit 25 kmph outside school area.
Pradeep Singh Dhillon and Ranpreet Singh Bheura made people aware about the license system and registration, in which new amendments have been made by the government, and along with this, 50 fire extinguisher cylinders and 50 first aid kits were distributed by the officials so that they can be used when needed.
On this occasion, free reflective tape was put on trucks, tractor-trolleys, pickups, bicycles, autos, school buses and people were made aware about the efforts being made by the Road Safety Force to control traffic and prevent accidents. People were also made aware about the police control phone number 112 in case of emergency.
