
City residents will take maximum benefit of PM Vishwakarma Yojana - Rajiv Verma
Nawanshahr- Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Rajiv Verma held a meeting with the officials regarding the PM Vishwakarma Yojana being run by the government in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar district. During this, he discussed the settlement of pending applications on the portal under the scheme and the progress of the scheme. He also asked the executive officers of Nagar Council Nawanshahr, Rahon, Banga and Balachaur to organize camps to create awareness under the scheme.

He appealed to the city residents that those city residents who do physical labor like barber, mason, tailor, carpenter, blacksmith, cobbler, boutique etc. can apply for this scheme. He informed that under this scheme, the beneficiaries will be given training of 5 to 7 days and for this training, the beneficiary will also be given a training stipend of Rs 500 per day. After completion of the training, the beneficiary will be given a kit worth Rs 500.
The beneficiary will also be given a cash amount of Rs 15000. Apart from this, if any beneficiary wants to take a loan under this scheme, then the government has made arrangements to give him a loan of up to Rs 3 lakh at an interest rate of 5 percent under this scheme.
