Una, April 3- A trained team of Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force (HPSDRF) organised an awareness camp on disaster management for the people living nearby including school children at Government (Adarsh) Senior Secondary School Bahdala in Una district. About 70 people participated in this community public awareness programme.

Head Constable Ajay, who was leading the HPSDRF team, said that during this time, school children and local people were given practical training on CPR in case of cardiac arrest, ways to provide first aid to an injured person and various techniques of stretcher construction.
He said that as per the directions of District Disaster Management Authority and Deputy Commissioner Una Jatin Lal, awareness programmes will be organised at various places in the district on the occasion of the anniversary of the devastating earthquake that struck Kangra on April 4. These public awareness programmes will run from April 1 to 5, which will include community awareness programmes, mock drills, training workshops, civic awareness rallies and school activities.
