Hoshiarpur- Principal Harbhajan Singh Vichar Manch organized a grand musical and literary function in collaboration with the Postgraduate Punjabi Department under the leadership of the Forum's convener Professor Ajit Langeri. On this occasion, the presidium included famous advocate of Punjab and Haryana High Court Rajwinder Singh Bains, famous poet Sukhwinder Amrit, Madam Dalwinderjit and Principal Dr. Parwinder Singh.
Professor Ajit Langeri gave the welcome speech and remembered Principal Harbhajan Singh and expressed his views on his personality and contribution to the society. Harveer Mann, a BA Part I student of the college and Sadhna, a MA Punjabi student, shared information about the contribution made by Principal Harbhajan Singh in education, sports and other fields. On this occasion, Advocate Rajwinder Singh Bains praised the work of the organizers.
He also expressed concern over the various challenges and challenges faced by Punjabi society at present and called upon the missionary educational institutions, teachers, writers and students to work hard to build a better society in such an environment. College Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh discussed the contribution made by the college in the field of education and sports.
He called upon the students in today's era to be cautious of colleges opened with a commercial approach and take admission in such colleges which are based on an ideology and mission. Famous sports promoter Roshanjit Singh Panam discussed the policies established by Khalsa College Mahilpur in the field of football and remembered the personality of Principal Harbhajan Singh.
Head of Punjabi Department Dr. JB Sekhon expressed his views on the contribution of writers who have gained fame in the field of literature after receiving education from Khalsa College Mahilpur and also shared the report of the programs organized by the Punjabi Department for the prosperity of literature, language and culture. On this occasion, famous singer Professor Balraj made the atmosphere devotional by presenting selected poems of Surjit Patar and other poets.
Famous poet Sukhwinder Amrit praised the contribution made by Khalsa College Mahilpur to the world society and received a lot of appreciation from the audience by presenting his selected ghazals. During the function, the painting exhibition organized by Professor Simar Manak was highly appreciated by the audience. The stage was conducted by litterateur Baljinder Mann.
On this occasion, lyricist Gurminder Kandowal, Sukhdev Nadal, farmer leader Talwinder Heer, Surinder Pal Jhal, Rupinderjot Babbu, Chanchal Singh Bains, Bant Singh Bains, Sarpanch Balwinder Singh, Professor Tajinder Singh, Raghveer Kaloya, Paramjit Katib, Vijay Bambli, Principal Surjit Singh, Babu Amarjit Pandori Ganga Singh and many personalities associated with the field of education and literature were present.
