Payal, March 19 - Under the 'Drug War' campaign of the Punjab government, today the police administration in the presence of Executive Officer Jasvir Singh demolished the house of Munish Kumar lodged in jail in Mohalla Tandon on the charge of drug smuggling. According to the police, 6 cases have been registered against Munish Kumar under the NDPS Act and other sections on the charge of drug smuggling.

The land demolished by the administration belongs to the Municipal Council Payal, which was illegally occupied. On this occasion, DSP Khanna Karanveer Singh Toor, DSP (H) Khanna Harpinder Kaur, DSP Payal Deepak Rai, SHO Payal Sandeep Kumar, SHO Satnam Singh Maloud, besides officials of Municipal Council Payal were present.
Khanna SSP Jyoti Yadav Bains, who reached the spot, said that 6 cases have been registered against Munish Kumar Mani lodged in jail. She said that drug smugglers will not be spared at any cost. He said that apart from consuming drugs, he is also involved in the business of selling them.
In the last 20 days, the police have registered about 46 cases and arrested about 100 drug smugglers. When asked about the property of multi-millionaire drug smuggler Gurdeep Singh Rano of Payal assembly constituency, he said that legal opinion is also being taken about it and action will be taken accordingly.
On the other hand, the city residents expressed their displeasure over this action of the police and said that instead of demolishing the properties of poor families, they should show courage to use yellow claw on the houses of big crocodiles. On this occasion, Yadwinder Singh Yadu, Jagroop Singh and others of Aam Aadmi Party praised the action taken by the Punjab government against drugs.
