District Legal Services Authority is working for the legal rights of weaker sections - Baldev Bharti

Nawanshahr/Raho- District Legal Services Authority Shabas Nagar organized legal awareness camps at various places to bid farewell to the year 2024 and welcome the New Year 2025. Authority's para legal volunteer Baldev Bharti State Awardee, with the full cooperation of the area residents, provided voluntary free services of providing information during these camps through 'Legal Aid Clinic Pind Sodhian'.

Authority's para legal volunteer Baldev Bharti State Awardee, with the full cooperation of the area residents, provided voluntary free services of providing information during these camps through 'Legal Aid Clinic Pind Sodhian'.
He said that as per the provisions of Article-39A of the Constitution of India, the governments will provide legal aid to the poor and weaker sections with the thought that the justice system should be within their reach. It will be ensured that no citizen is deprived of getting justice due to economic reasons or any other such deficiency. Therefore, the Authority has issued toll free number-1968 to provide free legal aid to the poor and weaker sections of the society to protect their legal rights.
Baldev Bharti said that child helpline-1098 can be called against child abuse, women helpline-1091 against atrocities on women and police helpline-112 for police assistance. He also gave detailed information about the rights and welfare schemes of workers in the unorganized sector under the 'Construction Workers Welfare Act-1996' and 'Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act-2005'.
