Chandigarh- The results of the elections of 10 Municipal Corporations, 4 Municipal Councils and 21 Municipal Committees held in 38 cities of Haryana have started coming in. So far, the results of 8 out of 10 Municipal Corporations have come in. Out of these, BJP has won the post of Mayor of 7 corporations and an independent candidate has won in one.
According to the information received, BJP has won in Municipal Corporations Gurugram, Rohtak, Hisar, Karnal, Ambala, Sonipat and Faridabad, while BJP is leading in Municipal Corporations Yamunanagar and Panipat. Apart from this, an independent candidate has won in the election of Mayor in Municipal Corporation Manesar.
The results of the Municipal Council elections held in Haryana are also showing the rise of BJP. According to the information received, in the mayoral election in the Municipal Corporation Karnal, BJP candidate Renu Bala has defeated her opponent Congress candidate Manoj Wadhwa by 25 thousand votes. Renu Bala got 83630 votes, while Congress candidate Manoj Wadhwa got only 58271 votes.
In the mayoral by-election in the Municipal Corporation Ambala, BJP candidate Selja Sachdeva has defeated her opponent Congress candidate Amisha Chawla by 20487 votes. Selja Sachdeva got 40620 votes and Congress candidate Amisha Chawla got 20133 votes.
In the Sonipat Municipal Corporation, BJP candidate Rajiv Jain has defeated Congress candidate Kamal Diwan by a margin of 34749 votes. Rajiv Jain got 57858 votes and Congress candidate Kamal Diwan got 23109 votes.
In the Municipal Corporation Rohtak, BJP candidate Ram Avtar Valmiki has defeated his opponent Congress candidate Surajmal Kiloi by a margin of 45198 votes. BJP candidate Ram Avtar Valmiki got 102269 votes, while his opponent Congress candidate Surajmal Kiloi got 57071 votes.
In the Mayor election in the Municipal Corporation Manesar, independent candidate Dr. Inderj Yadav has won by a margin of 2293 votes over BJP candidate Sundar Lal. Dr. Inderjit Yadav got 26393 votes, while BJP candidate Sundar Lal got 24100 votes. BJP's Praveen Joshi has been elected Mayor from Faridabad.
