Garhshankar - Hundreds of farmers gathered at Garhshankar Dana Mandi today to buy paddy that has not been bought for 7 days and raised slogans against the Central Government and Punjab Government. Led by Kul Hind Kisan Sabha Vice President Gurnek Singh Bajjal, State Secretary Darshan Singh Mattoo, Chaudhary Achhar Bill, BB Subhash Mattoo, they said that farmers, aarti, labour and purchase inspector, sheller owner are all on strike. Their demands should be accepted and purchase of paddy should be started! 
On one hand, the government says that we will buy every grain from the Mandia. Government purchase has started from the 1st but it has been 7 days and people are roaming in the Mandia and protecting their crops. Due to rain and bad weather, paddy crop is getting damaged in the Mandia. If the government does not start the purchase soon, then a fierce struggle will be done in collaboration with the organizations of the United Kisan Morcha.
