
Desh Bhagat University organised two-day international conference on innovations in engineering and science
Mandi Gobindgarh, March 4 – Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing, Department of Business Management and Commerce and Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences of Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh in collaboration with IQAC organised a two-day international conference on “Advances in Management, Engineering and Science” through hybrid mode. The aim of the conference was to bring together researchers, practitioners and industry leaders to discuss the latest advancements and innovations in various fields.
Mandi Gobindgarh, March 4 – Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing, Department of Business Management and Commerce and Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences of Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh in collaboration with IQAC organised a two-day international conference on “Advances in Management, Engineering and Science” through hybrid mode. The aim of the conference was to bring together researchers, practitioners and industry leaders to discuss the latest advancements and innovations in various fields.
The inaugural ceremony on the first day was attended by Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Advisor to Chancellor Dr. Varinder Singh and Registrar Surinder Pal Kapoor. Convener and Vice-Chancellor of this international event (Dr.) Harsh Sadavarti; Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Life Sciences Prof. (Dr.) Harvinder Kaur Sidhu; Director Prof. (Dr.) Rajni Saluja and Deputy Director of Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing Dr. Khushboo Bansal were present.
Dr. Saugata Chattopadhyay and Dr. Avinash Bhatia acted as the co-conveners and organizing secretaries of the programme. The Chief Guest of the programme was Prof. (Dr) Jai Roop Singh, former Vice Chancellor, Central University of Punjab, who shared information on the importance of scientific temper. The keynote addresses were delivered by Dr. Surender Singh Saini, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIO, Chandigarh, and Dr. Uday Kumar Ghosh, Professor, Lincoln University, USA.
On the first day, three technical sessions were held, where national and international delegates presented their research papers. The session was chaired by Dr. Rajni Saluja, while Prof. (Dr) Navdeep Kaur was the co-chair. For the Engineering Technology and Computing (Civil and Computer Science) session, Prof. (Dr) Barhat Lonia and Prof. (Dr) Sachit Vardhan were the chairs, and Dr. Pooja Sharma and Dr. Navneet Kaur were the co-chairs.
On the second day, Chancellor Prof. (Dr) Navdeep Kaur was the chairperson of the session. (Dr.) Abhijit H Joshi appreciated the efforts of the Managing Committee and emphasized that by combining the power of knowledge, innovation and leadership, a brighter and more sustainable future can be created.
