Professor Bahadur Singh Sunet honoured by international organisations for his valuable contribution in the field of social service

24 February Hoshiarpur- International organisations dedicated to Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiat, Jagat Punjabi Sabha, Canada, PBBPA and Ontario Friend Club are working for the prosperity of Punjabiat and the spread of moral values ??across the country. In this connection, an honour ceremony was organised at Virasat-e-Khalsa, Sri Anandpur Sahib under the leadership of Dr. Ajaib Singh Chattha Chairman, Sardar Sardul Singh Thiara President, Dr. Santokh Singh Sandhu, Sardar Inderjit Singh Cheema, in which the chief guest was Punjab Assembly Speaker Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan.

The ceremony was attended by Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal Padma Shri, Rajya Sabha member and eminent intellectuals, writers, social workers and representatives of various other institutions and organisations from the country and abroad. On this occasion, Professor Bahadur Singh Sunet of Hoshiarpur, who has made valuable contribution in the field of social service for the last four decades, was honoured.
Professor Sunet has made his valuable contribution in making the great services of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji internationally famous through his research work. He also worked to strengthen solidarity, humanity and mutual brotherhood. Students of Punjab University Chandigarh have been involved in the work of blood donation from time to time to help the needy people.
Hundreds of blood donation camps have been organized in the last four decades and he himself donated blood about 65 times and became a source of inspiration for thousands of youth. He made his valuable contribution in illuminating the lives of hundreds of blind people to make the country free from blindness. He served in the Technical Education Department of Punjab for a long time and after retirement special efforts are being made to provide education to the children of people living in pitiable conditions below the poverty line and to raise the standard of living of these people.
On the occasion of this felicitation ceremony, Professor Sunet presented a picture of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji serving Sardar Kultar Singh Sandhwan and Sardar Sardul Singh Thiara, President of Jagat Punjabi Sabha, on behalf of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji's service institutions and a request letter was given to the Punjab government, in which it was demanded that special efforts should be made to spread the concept of service to humanity in the rich cultural heritage of Punjab and the great services of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji at the international level and the Punjab government should also run a special campaign to inform the younger generation about his great services.
