Derabassi, November 5, 2024: MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa said clearly here today that no kind of abuse or robbery will be allowed with the farmers in the market and if any such case comes to light, immediate action will be taken.
MLA Randhawa, who came to meet the farmers sitting on dharna at Derabassi today, said that they have asked the SDM Derabassi to take further action regarding the problems and complaints faced by the farmers. He said that if anyone is found guilty of reducing the crop of farmers in this case, appropriate action will be taken against him.
He said that the Bhagwant Mann government of the state is fully committed to smooth procurement of paddy crop and alternative arrangements of DAP to the farmers of Punjab and will not allow any kind of difficulty to them, despite the obstacles from the Centre.
MLA Randhawa assured the farmers and said that before being the representative of the ruling party of the state, they fully understand the duty of a farmer and the elected representative of the people of Derabassi district, so they will not be involved in any kind of business in their market. Looting will not be tolerated and necessary action will be taken.
On this occasion, he assured that along with the purchase of paddy, alternative arrangements are being made for the farmers in the district for the required fertilizer for sowing potato and wheat, for which he has also spoken to the Deputy Commissioner of the district. He said that there is sufficient stock of alternative fertilizers in the district to meet DAP.
