Mandi Gobindgarh, February 6- Desh Bhagat University hosted Dr. Lisa J. Toivonen, Counsellor for Higher Education and Science Policy at the Embassy of Finland to strengthen India-Finland collaboration in education, research and sustainability. The discussions with the DBU leadership focused on academic partnerships, student exchanges and joint research initiatives.
Dr. Toivonen also inspired the students about Finland’s world-class education system and innovation-driven research. The DBU leadership including Vice Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, President Dr. Sandeep Singh and Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadavarti participated in the discussions on academic pathways, twinning programmes, student and faculty exchanges and collaborative research initiatives.
The aim of the visit was to strengthen the DBU-Finland university partnership for higher education and innovation, as well as to explore Finnish government support for research projects and CSR initiatives in collaboration with Desh Bhagat University.
