
CM's Yogashala became the center of attraction during Republic Day celebrations

Nagar, 27 January 2025: During the district level Republic Day celebrations held at Shaheed Major Harminderpal Singh (Shaurya Chakra) Government College, Mohali, located at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar yesterday, the presentation of CM's Yogashala became the center of attraction for the Chief Guest Mr. Barinder Kumar Goyal, Cabinet Minister Punjab and the guests present.

Nagar, 27 January 2025: During the district level Republic Day celebrations held at Shaheed Major Harminderpal Singh (Shaurya Chakra) Government College, Mohali, located at Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar yesterday, the presentation of CM's Yogashala became the center of attraction for the Chief Guest Mr. Barinder Kumar Goyal, Cabinet Minister Punjab and the guests present.
On the initiative of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain, the yoga instructors working under CM Yogashala in the district under the leadership of District Yoga Coordinator Pratima Dawar presented an impressive yoga show at the college ground to make people aware of the importance of yoga in daily life, through which people were given the message of staying away from diseases and staying healthy through yoga asanas.
About 49 yoga instructors involved in this presentation are also making people practice yoga daily in 282 yogashalas running daily at various places in Mohali district under CM Yogashala. District Coordinator Pratima Dawar said that about 10 thousand participants are participating daily in the district under CM Yogashala.
He informed that CM Yogashala was launched on 5 April 2023 from Patiala by the government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann with the aim of providing good health to the people of Punjab. In the first phase, yoga was started in 4 cities of Punjab, but at present yoga is getting huge response in all the districts of Punjab. At present 3167 yoga classes are running across Punjab, in which about 1 lakh people are practicing yoga under the leadership of 573 expert yoga instructors.
A yoga group of at least 25 people is formed for the yoga class. The Punjab government provides free yoga instructors to this group to run yoga classes near their homes. Interested persons can register on the website of Chief Minister Yogashala by forming a group of at least 25 members.
He said that yoga practice is an important step towards making the state of Punjab a healthy and colorful Punjab. Punjab is leading all other states in the implementation of yoga. The practice of yoga is being run under the aegis of Guru Ravidas Ayurveda University, Punjab (Hoshiarpur).
