Chandigarh:- Lohri festival was celebrated with great pomp and joy in the Community Center of Sector 52 by Sub Division Number 10 coming under Chandigarh Municipal Corporation Ward. In which Ward Councilor Lakhbir Singh, Ward No. 24 Councilor Jasvir Bunty, SDO Balraj, SDO Suresh, Bhuvnesh Bhatti Supervisor together organized Lohri celebration with the employees of Building Roads.
In which peanuts, Revdi, Gachchak and popcorn etc. were distributed to all the staff. Lohri was started by burning wood with rituals. After this, all the people present in the ceremony immersed peanuts, popcorn and Revdi etc. in the fire.
On this occasion, the councilors wished everyone a Happy New Year, Lohri and Makar Sankranti.
