Mohali: Two workers were injured when the lintel fell from the second floor of a building under construction in TDI. There was chaos at the spot after the accident. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and administration team reached the spot and relief work was started.
According to the information, a showroom building was being constructed in TDI. At night, the workers got buried under the lintel when it fell from the second floor. After the accident, the workers raised an alarm, upon which other workers and local people reached the spot and took out the injured.
The injured workers were immediately taken to the nearest district hospital by calling a hospital ambulance where they are being treated. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.
The police officer, while giving information to the journalists, said that the causes of the accident are being investigated. Action will be taken against the construction company if negligence is found.
