Una, January 8- A state level water awareness function will be organized on January 10 in Haroli sub-division of Una district. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will be the chief guest of this function. This event dedicated to increasing public awareness towards water conservation and cleanliness will start on Friday, January 10 at 10 am in Kangar ground of Haroli sub-division. Superintending Engineer of Jal Shakti Department Una, Naresh Dhiman, visited the function venue along with departmental officials on Wednesday and inspected the preparations and gave necessary guidelines regarding this.
Naresh Dhiman said that during the state level water awareness function, the Deputy Chief Minister will also release the annual calendar of the Jal Shakti Department. A special documentary based on the work of the Jal Shakti Department during the terrible natural disaster that hit the state last year will also be presented at the function. On this occasion, tribute will be paid to two officers and employees who sacrificed their lives while performing their duties during the disaster and the honor will be handed over to their families. Apart from this, the Deputy Chief Minister will give Jal Shakti Samman certificates to the officers and employees of the Jal Shakti Department who have done excellent work across the state.
Development exhibition will be organized in the function
On the lines of Eat Right Mela, there will also be stalls of nutritious food
Mr Dhiman informed that a special exhibition based on the schemes and development works of the Jal Shakti Department along with the projects of other departments will also be organised in the function. This will also include stalls of products prepared by self-help groups and stalls of nutritious dishes on the lines of Eat Right Mela.
Colourful presentations by theatre groups
Colourful cultural programmes showcasing the cultural heritage of the state will be organised in the function. Theatre groups from Una and other districts will give their performances in it.
