During this, the committee members of Mahilpur city surrounded the police station and threatened the team that had come to raid, saying that if a case is filed against our shopkeeper brother, then we will sit on a dharna in front of the police station.
Ignoring this, the field manager of the team from Chandigarh, Rajinder Singh, took appropriate action, then the members of the market committee blocked the road in front of the police station gate and started shouting slogans against the Punjab Police and the team that had come to raid. On this occasion, there was a lot of debate between the team from Brand Protector Private Limited Chandigarh and the members of the market committee.
On this occasion, when we spoke to Rajinder Singh, the field manager of the team from Brand Protector Private Limited, Chandigarh, he did not give any satisfactory answer to the journalists and said that whatever counterfeit goods have been seized in this case will be destroyed by pouring diesel and setting it on fire in the police station itself in collusion.
When we spoke to Mahilpur police station chief Raman Kumar in this regard, he said that a compromise has been reached between the team that came for the raid and the shopkeeper and he set fire to the fake brand goods, footballs and badminton rackets of big and renowned companies in his own police station and the team and police personnel burnt them in the rear part of the police station. To mislead the journalist, the police spoke to the police station chief. When huge flames of fire were seen coming out from behind the police station, the journalists covered the video of the team and police personnel setting fire to the sports goods seized by the police by pouring diesel on them in their phones. Later, when the police station chief of Mahilpur asked the reason for setting fire to the copyrighted goods, he did not give any clear answer and quickly went to the police quarters built in his police station.
The team that came to raid Broad Protector Private Limited Chandigarh regarding this matter could not give any satisfactory answer. When the company's field manager Rajinder Singh was talked to regarding this matter, he did not give any satisfactory answer to the journalists and said that all the fake sports goods recovered in this case have been handed over to the Mahilpur police. When the Mahilpur police station chief was later talked to on the phone regarding this matter, he replied thoughtfully and said that an agreement has been reached between the raiding team and the shopkeeper and all the fake goods, football and badminton rackets and other items seized by them have been destroyed by setting them on fire in the police station itself.
When DSP Garhshankar Jaspreet Singh was talked to on the phone regarding this matter, he said that the Mahilpur police station chief has brought the matter to our notice and sent it for action and the opinion of the DA has to be taken and they have to tell whether trademark action is to be taken or copyright action is to be taken. When I talk to the rest of the company people, what do they say? And when I asked about the destruction of all the goods by the Mahilpur police station at night, they said that the matter was not in my notice.
What does the law say about this matter:- When the police has taken action on the complaint of the company and the police has seized fake goods during the raid. Then there can be no compromise on the goods of big companies with fake brands. And the police cannot destroy the fake goods in the police station without the permission of the court and senior police officers. Rather it should be deposited in the warehouse built in the court or police station.
