S.A.S.Nagar, 18 December 2024: During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain has directed the officers to complete the pending cases of the Revenue Department as soon as possible.
To review the progress of the works of the Revenue Department of the district, Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Ashika Jain held a review meeting with the officers of the Revenue Department at the District Administrative Complex today. During the meeting, she reviewed the functioning of the Revenue Department and directed the officers to settle the pending cases on priority basis.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed all the Tehsildars to complete the pending works on priority basis. Along with this, he also directed all the SDMs to monitor this matter from time to time and asked the Patwaris to complete the pending works with them within 10 days.
He instructed the officers to check the records of the Patwaris from time to time so that there is no negligence of any kind. He asked the officers to provide maximum online facilities to the people so that their work can be done quickly and easily. Apart from this, he asked the officials of the Revenue Department to ensure that all the officers settle the cases as per the set target.
Addressing the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to settle the pending court cases by pleading them at the earliest. The Deputy Commissioner also ordered all the officers to take concrete steps to remove illegal encroachments in the district. On this occasion, he inquired about the court cases of partition, private partition of land, dispute-free and dispute-free transfer, jamabandi and jagir settlement cases and gave necessary guidelines. Similarly, he also reviewed the tehsil-wise recovery works and told that a total of Rs 18,08541/- was recovered in the district till 30 November 2024.
He said that all the officers should ensure that the cases are settled as per the set target. Apart from this, he has also said that there is a need to improve the infrastructure. Proposals should be made and presented for the Patwar Khanas of the district which need repair. Apart from this, work stations should also be built as per the need.
He directed the officers to resolve all pending cases related to the district before the next monthly review meeting and said that online software method should be used for these works, which will save time and pending cases can also be resolved quickly. Apart from Mr. Shyamkaran Tirke, Additional Deputy Commissioner (J), SDM Kharar Mr. Gurmander Singh, SDM Derabassi Mr. Amit Gupta, District Revenue Officer Aman Chawla, other senior officers of the district were also present in the meeting.
