Hoshiarpur: MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa today inaugurated the construction work of streets to be constructed at a cost of Rs 11 lakh in Ward No. 49 of the city. On this occasion, he said that the Punjab Government is committed to the development of the area and development works worth crores of rupees have been carried out in the city so far. He assured that these development works will continue in the future as well.

MLA Jimpa directed the Municipal Corporation officials to take special care of the quality of the construction work, so that the common people can benefit from it in the long run. He said that no negligence will be tolerated in the development works and asked the concerned contractors to complete the work with high quality within the stipulated time. The MLA said that this construction work started in Ward No. 49 will provide relief to the local residents from the long-standing problems.
He assured the local residents that the government is giving priority to their needs and is committed to comprehensive development in every sector. He appealed to the people for cooperation and said that the contribution of every citizen is important in making the development works successful. Mayor Surinder Kumar, Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini, Deputy Mayor Ranjit Chaudhary, Ward Councilor Sunita Devi, Baldeep Kaur, Satpal, Sukhwinder Kaur and other dignitaries were also present on this occasion.
