The Department of Agriculture organized competitions for students on stubble management.

Garhshankar 21-11-2024: At Government Senior Secondary School Dhamai, under the guidance of Agriculture Department Garhshankar, Agriculture Officer Shri Sukhjinder Pal Ji, under the able guidance of Shri Sunil Kumar AEO, students' painting and slogan writing competitions were organized to create awareness about stubble management and pollution caused by stubble burning.

In which about 52 school students participated in these competitions, Manjot Kaur came first in various competitions, Kajal came second and Nisha came third. The students who participated in the competition were given mementos, medals and refreshments by the Agriculture Department. At this time, Mr. Bahadur Singh, Agriculture Inspector and Field Officer Shri Satpal Ji from the Agriculture Department made people aware about the harm of stubble burning and the increasing pollution in the environment.
At this time, the chairman of the school committee, Shri Avtar Singh Ji, lecturers Mukesh Kumar, Kulwinder Kaur, Jasvir Singh, Paramjit Singh, Balkar Singh, Sunita Kumari, Deepak Kaushal, Pooja Bhatia, Kamaljit Kaur, Seema, Madhu Sambyal and campus manager Captain Surinder Kumar Ji were present from the school staff.
