Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh graced the event as Chief Guest. The event, held with the support of the Department of Blood Transfusion Medicine, PGI Chandigarh & Market Welfare Association & ROTTO North received an overwhelming response from residents, with a total of 95 units of blood donated and 35 organ and skin donations to support the region's healthcare needs.

The camp, which aimed to promote awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and address the pressing need for blood supplies, witnessed an outpouring of generosity from citizens who came forward to contribute towards saving lives.
Speaking at the occasion, Sh. Amit Kumar lauded the efforts of Sukh Foundation for organizing such a noble initiative and commended the active participation of Chandigarh's residents in making the event a success. "Blood donation is a simple yet life-saving act, and it is heartening to see so many people come together to help those in need," he said. He also emphasized the role of organizations like Sukh Foundation and PGI in fostering a culture of giving and supporting healthcare initiatives in the city.
Dr RR Sharma, Head of the Department and Dr Suchet Sachdev, Additional Professor, Transfusion Medicine PGIMER, Chandigarh were also present there and they motivated the donors at the event.
