Patiala, November 11 - Officials of the Cooperative Department have so far checked in 151 agricultural cooperative societies in the district to ensure the supply of DAP fertilizer to the farmers for sowing wheat and vegetables. Providing this information, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies of Patiala Sangram Singh Sandhu said that no black marketing and hoarding of DAP will be allowed in the societies.
Sangram Singh Sandhu said that there are 263 agricultural cooperative societies in the district Along with continuous checking of DAP, it is being ensured that DAP is distributed to farmer members according to their credit limit.
He also advised the farmers to use DAP in their fields only as per the opinion of agricultural experts. He said that as an alternative to DAP, farmers can also use NPK, which is being made available additionally in agricultural cooperative societies.
The deputy registrar said that checking will be completed in all the agricultural cooperative societies of the district soon. He assured the farmers that continuous supply of DAP is coming, which will be provided to the member farmers without any discrimination.
