Kotkapura, July 8 - A murder incident occurred for the second consecutive day in Faridkot district today. A person was killed by hitting him on the head in village Kameana. The deceased has been identified as Inderjit Singh Indru (50 years old). Sadar police station has registered a case and started searching for the killers.

According to SP Sandeep Vadera, when the police received information about this murder, Inspector Rajesh Kumar, SHO of Sadar police station, reached the spot with his team and took stock of the incident. He said that the deceased had been married twice but he lived alone in the village and he had sheep here.
He said that he had slept in this sheep pen at night and when the neighbors came to know about this murder in the morning, they informed the police about this murder. He said that the police have also found an empty bottle of liquor from the spot, which shows that some other people were with him last night, who are being investigated.
Murder of a farmer from village Sandhwan who went to fetch water from the field
He said that a case has been registered on the basis of the statements of the deceased's wife Manpreet Kaur and action has been started. It is noteworthy that yesterday a farmer was also murdered in village Sandhwan of the district while going to fetch water and the police have registered a case against four persons in this case. Meanwhile, this is the second consecutive day today when this murder incident has come to light in Kameana.
