Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, November 4: Joint Commissioner Municipal Corporation Mohali, Dipankar Garg said that keeping the cleanliness of the city as a priority, all the officers/employees of the Sanitation Department are on duty on the days of festivals as well. were deployed and around 700 sanitation workers on Saturday and around 300 sanitation workers on Sunday also cleaned the city.
 He said that apart from this, the municipal corporation is continuously removing the garbage collected at all the RMC points in the city, but due to the festivals, the garbage was collected at the RMC points in the city in a very large amount, seeing which the municipal corporation RMC of the Municipal Corporation on 02.11.2024 and 03.11.2024 despite festive holidays by the teams of Tipper/trolley garbage lifting from the points was conducted.
He said that on November 2, 10 tippers and 9 trolleys and on November 3, 9 tippers and 5 trolleys of garbage were delivered. He said that due to extra garbage coming due to festive days, garbage is being removed on war footing from all the RMC points which will be completely cleaned in the next 2 to 3 days.
 He further said that in addition to the cleaning of the city by the Municipal Corporation, along with the said lifting of garbage from RMC points, cleaning has also been done through mechanical sweeping of the 'A' roads of the city on Saturday and Sunday. GVP (Garbage Vulnerable Points) have also been cleaned.
 He said that the Municipal Corporation is fully committed to keeping the city of Mohali clean, for which the cooperation of the city residents is also required.
