In this awareness program organized in collaboration with the Managing Committee at Baba Dharamgir Mandir, Aud, DSP Vigilance Bureau Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar Ashwani Kumar said that corruption is the biggest evil. It is the moral responsibility of all of us to eradicate it. He said that giving or taking bribe for any work in government or non-government offices and any other sector is a legal offense, to stop which cooperation of all sections is necessary.
He said that corruption is eating our country and society like worms. He said that all of us should pledge that we will not be a part of any corrupt activity and if any such activity comes to light, we will report it to the competent authority. He asked the local residents to contact toll free number 180018001000 and Anti Corruption Action Line number 9501200200 for help in preventing corruption.
On this occasion, Inspector Vigilance Chamkaur Singh said that the Vigilance Bureau is celebrating Vigilance Awareness Week till November 3 under the theme 'Culture of Honesty for the Prosperity of the Nation'. He said that under this, everyone is being united against corruption by organizing anti-corruption seminars in schools-colleges, villages and cities of the district.
On this occasion, SHO Aud Naresh Kumari gave information about the damage caused to the country and society by corruption and said that to remove this leprosy, we have to start from ourselves. On this occasion, a pledge was also taken by all the citizens to eradicate corruption.
