Hoshiarpur - District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman District Legal Services Authority Dilbagh Singh Johal held a meeting with the members of the District Legal Services Authority today. Meanwhile, the District and Sessions Judge gave instructions to run the schemes related to Nalsa in a smooth manner. Taking stock of the free legal services provided by the District Legal Services Authority, he said that the District Legal Services Authority is providing free legal assistance, which the residents of the district should take maximum advantage of.
The District and Sessions Judge asked the district administration that the dependent certificates to be issued to the dependents of the persons killed in the road accident should be issued as soon as possible so that the dependents of the deceased can get compensation of Rs. 2 lakh on time under Compensation to Victim. 
He told the police that in the case of any accident, there is a provision of compensation to the victim in case of more than 40 percent of the injured on conviction in any court of the district. So in such cases the court should be asked to refer it to the District Legal Services Authority so that compensation can be given to the victim under Compensation to Victim.
 The District and Sessions Judge gave instructions to publicize the National Lok Adalat to be held on December 14 as much as possible. He appealed to the residents of the district and asked them to file maximum cases in this National Lok Adalat and take advantage of it. He said that this saves both time and money. He said that the decision of Lok Adalat is recognized as a civil decree. 
On this occasion Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, S.S.P. Surinder Lamba, CJM-cum-Secretary District Legal Services Authority Raj Pal Rawal, Jail Superintendent B.S. Ghuman, Additional District Attorney Pawanpreet Singh, SP. Manoj Kumar, Assistant Public Relations Officer Lokesh Kumar, Agyapal Singh Sahni, Kiranpreet Kaur Dhami, Darshan Kaushal etc. were present.
