
Vigilance Awareness Week-Need for joint efforts to eradicate corruption: SSP Vigilance

Meanwhile, various speakers emphasized that everyone should come forward without any hesitation to effectively stop the corruption prevalent in the society so that this social evil can be rooted out. SSP Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu asked the government officials, employees, students, common people and social representatives present during the event to take initiative to eradicate corruption.
He said that everyone should take an oath that they will not be part of any kind of corruption and if such action comes to light, they will report it to the competent authority. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Nikas Kumar said that the country, It is everyone's moral responsibility to raise voice against actions that harm the society and system. He said that students and youth can play an important role in eradicating this evil completely. He said that corruption cannot be tolerated at any cost and all sections of the society should contribute to its eradication.
Addressing the seminar, DSP Vigilance Manish Kumar said that the cooperation of all sections is necessary to eradicate corruption. He said that this social evil can be easily stopped with the help of youth. He appealed to the people and said that if any such action comes to their notice, they should contact the department's toll free number 1800-1000, anti-corruption line number 95012-00200, website www.vigilancebureau.punjab.gov.in can give this information to the nearest office of Vigilance Bureau.
