Giving information in this regard, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav said that as per the guidelines of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, the district administration has used traditional techniques as well as latest technologies to provide the necessary machinery for stubble management to the farmers of the district. To reach out to the farmers, a control room has been set up in the district administration complex, from where along with giving information about the 'Unnat Kisan' app to the farmers, stubble management machinery is also being booked.
He said that the booking of machinery of those farmers who face difficulty in booking machinery through the 'Unnat Kisan' app is also being done by the staff deployed in the control room. He said that for any problem related to stubble management, farmers can contact the control room number 0175-2350550.
The staff posted in the control room said that along with the booking of machinery, the information received through satellite about the incidents of stubble fire in the district is also sent to the concerned officials along with GPS location. And appropriate action is taken by the officials.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the 'Unnat Kisan' app is also being responded to by the farmers, which makes it clear that farmers are also aware of stubble management and protecting the environment from pollution. He appealed to the farmers to give priority to using the machinery provided for stubble management.
