Mohali, August 26- The holy festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated today with full devotion. In this regard, where special decorations have been made in the temples, there was also a special enthusiasm among the devotees regarding Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
A large number of devotees went to the temples and offered obeisance this morning. General Secretary of Kendriya Mandir Kalyan Samiti Mr. Manoj Agarwal said that special arrangements have been made in all the temples of the city regarding the festival of Sheet Krishna Janmashtami under which the temples have been specially decorated.
He said that on this occasion, Lord Sri Krishna will be sung in praise of Lord Sri Krishna by famous bhajan groups of the country in different temples. And special tableaus will be decorated in which various scenes will be shown including the child form of Sri Krishna, the couple of Radha Krishna, the gopis and the pastimes of Krishna Maharaj.
He said that full day worship programs will be held in the temples and special Diwans will start in the temples from late evening during which a large number of devotees will pay obeisance. Prasad of Sri Krishna Janam Ashtami will be distributed to the devotees on the occasion of the late night birth of Lord Sri Krishna.
