
Commendable efforts to make children helpers of victims- Manju Garg.
Patiala 14 July - In order to save themselves and the victims during the increasing natural and human disasters, Kaka Ram Verma, Chief Trainer First Aid, Safety, Health, Awareness Mission, conducted training and exercises for the children of classes 5 and above at Green Land Public Senior Secondary School, Patiala and organized competitions.

While giving this information, the Principal of the school, Mrs. Manju Garg, said that the small children of classes 5 and 6 used ropes, sticks, branches, tubas, sticks, empty plastic bottles, drums to rescue the drowning person and to remove water from his respiratory tract, they should lay on their stomach and show them the ABCD of first aid and CPR.
Some children demonstrated safety and first aid in case of gas leakage or fire in homes, rescue and calling police, ambulances, fire brigade, use of fire extinguishers, types of fires and artificial respiration in case of unconsciousness. The winning students were awarded medals.
Soon competitions will be held for children of older classes, in which competitions will be held on vehicle fire, survival during war when bombs and missiles fall and helping the victims.
Principal Mrs. Manju Garg expressed her gratitude and said that by conducting such training exercises and demonstrations in schools, colleges, factories, by Mr. Kaka Ram Verma ji, students, teachers and citizens are being made the helping angels of the victims by instilling courage, self-confidence and determination to save precious lives and properties during emergencies.
