Khalsa College Mahilpur inaugurated a separate building for conducting Food Production, Bakery, Cooking and Catering Management courses.

Mahilpur, August 17 – In an effort to connect students with employment-oriented and skilled courses along with academic studies of various courses, two new certificate courses related to Food Production and Catering Management have been started at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here.

Mahilpur, August 17 – In an effort to connect students with employment-oriented and skilled courses along with academic studies of various courses, two new certificate courses related to Food Production and Catering Management have been started at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here.
A separate building was inaugurated in the college campus for the smooth conduct of these courses by the chief guest, non-resident donor Sajjan Harbans Singh Canada and Narinder Singh.
On this occasion, Harbans Singh said that such skill-oriented courses will not only make the students’ academic studies more employment-oriented but will also connect them with new employment opportunities in the food production industry.
He congratulated the college administrators on the initiation of such courses and assured all kinds of support. On this occasion, Sikh Educational Council General Secretary Professor Apinder Singh and Treasurer Virinder Sharma were also present and motivated the students to enroll in such courses.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh said that with the help of Babu Ji Hari Singh Bassi Entrepreneurship Center running on the college campus, the college has started a three-month certificate course in Food Production and Bakery and a certificate course in Cooking and Catering Management, in which students have started admission from this session at very low fees.
He said that students after 10th and 12th can enroll for admission in both the above certificate courses and students pursuing 12th and undergraduate courses in the college can also take admission in this course along with their studies. On this occasion, the staff members of the college including Chief Instructor of Food Production and Bakery Department Arun Mahajan were present.
