Hoshiarpur - Commissioner Municipal Corporation Amandeep Kaur said that for keeping the city clean and proper disposal of garbage, teams of officers have been formed by Municipal Corporation Hoshiarpur, under which they have been allotted different wards.
In these wards, the officials will monitor the waste collected from house to house by the sanitation workers from 6 am and will also ensure that no one throws the waste in the open. Giving further information, he said that these teams will go to the field daily and conduct field checks related to garbage, so that proper collection of garbage can be ensured and its proper disposal. Apart from this, these teams will also be bound to conduct source segregation of waste (separating wet and dry waste) for proper disposal of waste.
The Commissioner Municipal Corporation appealed to the residents of the city to give full support to this important initiative of the Municipal Corporation and to participate more and more in this initiative, so that the city can be kept clean. Apart from this, the commissioner appealed to the city residents to prevent single use plastic and instructions have been issued that challans will be issued against the defaulters who use and sell single use plastic and fines will be collected as per the instructions of the government.
