Hoshiarpur - Rotary Eye Bank and Cornea Transplantation Society organized an eye donation awareness camp at Shri Guru Ram Das College for Women Chabewal under the chairmanship of president and eminent social worker Sanjeev Arora. On this occasion, Principal Sanjeev Arora informed the students and staff and said that out of all the donations, eye donation is the only donation that a person has to do after leaving this world. We see this beautiful world while we are alive, our eyes become a blessing to someone even after we are gone.

So keep your eyes alive even after death by donating eyes so that they can bring light into someone's dark life. Mr. Arora said that eye donation pledge forms are filled by the Rotary Eye Bank so that eye donation records can be maintained. He appealed to the people present to come forward to fill the eye donation pledge form and also involve their acquaintances in this campaign. Mr. Arora said that the society has provided eyesight to more than 4100 people so far and 24 dead bodies have been sent to the medical college for post-mortem.
On this occasion Prof. Daljit Singh while giving information about eye donation said that the process of eye donation takes only 15-20 minutes and it does not affect the face. He said that eye donors are also honored with certificates by the society and said that it is up to us to decide whether we want to bury our eyes after completing our worldly journey or bring light to two dark lives. Therefore, we should participate more in this meritorious work.
On this occasion, Prof. Neelam Sharma, playing the role of stage manager, thanked the officials of the society and assured that they will continue to encourage people to participate in eye donation by going to the children in their respective areas. . Try to join the campaign to bring light to those living in darkness. Hoardings were also put up in the college campus to create awareness about organ donation. On this occasion, Madan Lal Mahajan, Jasvir Kanwar, Veena Chopra and Prof. Neelam Sharma, Prof. Meena Kumari, Prof. Navjot Kaur, Prof. Balwinder Kaur, Prof. Aarti, Prof. Harpreet Kaur and others were present on behalf of the college.
