
Urban Ayushman Arogya Kendra set up help desk in Canal Colony to make people aware about drug addiction
Hoshiarpur 28 February- With the aim of making people aware about the ill effects of drug addiction and providing information to get rid of drug addiction, as per the instructions of the District Administration, today the District Drug Detoxification Rehabilitation Society set up a help desk at Urban Ayushman Arogya Kendra Canal Colony and informed more than 88 people about the harm caused to health and society by drug addiction.
Hoshiarpur 28 February- With the aim of making people aware about the ill effects of drug addiction and providing information to get rid of drug addiction, as per the instructions of the District Administration, today the District Drug Detoxification Rehabilitation Society set up a help desk at Urban Ayushman Arogya Kendra Canal Colony and informed more than 88 people about the harm caused to health and society by drug addiction.
The help desk was set up under the leadership of Medical Officer Dr. Rohit Bruta in which Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Harbans Kaur was specially present. Speaking during this, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Harbans Kaur said that this campaign is being run by the District Drug Rehabilitation Society Hoshiarpur from 10 to 28 February 2025 by conducting counseling and awareness campaigns through help desks at various public places.
The aim of this campaign is to make people aware about the causes of drug addiction and its treatment in public places. While inviting people to join this campaign, he said that let us all run a campaign together to save the youth of Punjab, make Punjab drug free. On this occasion, Medical Officer of Rehabilitation Center Dr. Mahima Minhas gave a message to the people present that to eradicate the evil of drug addiction, we all should join hands and attack together.
Medical Officer Dr. Rohit Bruta said that this is a good effort to save the heirs, youth and youths of Punjab through such efforts, in this way we can save the youth of Punjab. On this occasion, Nisha Rani District Manager said that drug addiction is successfully treated in District De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center Hoshiarpur.
Patients are encouraged to live a healthy life and are made capable of standing on their own feet by getting them to do food craft, salon, agriculture and other vocational courses under the vocational skill program.
