Hoshiarpur- We all should contribute in the war against drug addiction launched by the Punjab government to end the evil of drug addiction in the state. These views were expressed by Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Ashika Jain, President of Vishwa Corruption Prevention Foundation Rattan Lal Soni and In-charge of Tanda Assembly Constituency of Netra Daan Sangh Hoshiarpur and State Awardee Jathedar Varinder Singh Masiti while taking forward the awareness campaign against drug addiction.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Ashika Jain said that under this campaign being run on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann, drug eradication campaign was also run in the villages of various assembly constituencies of the entire district, where the people of the villages gave encouraging response and also took a pledge to eradicate drug addiction by passing the resolution.
Speaking on this occasion, Ratan Lal Soni said that if drug abuse is to be eradicated from its roots, then we all have to come together and by supporting this campaign started by the government, while a fatwa will be issued against drug abuse, the state government will also crack down on big and small drug smugglers and earlier also the government has shown its responsibility by taking necessary action against drug smugglers on a large scale.
Speaking on this occasion, State Awardee Jathedar Varinder Singh Masiti said that it is the primary duty of all of us to be aware of the elimination of drug abuse to save our young generation and also contribute by becoming a part of this campaign started by the government. On this occasion, the above mentioned personalities also appreciated the efforts being made by the police administration for the elimination of drug abuse.
