Punjab government released 'Minimum Wage List', in which a slight increase has been made - Baldev Bharti.

Baldev Bharti said that the Statistics Branch of the Labor Department of Punjab Government releases the list of increase in wages of workers in various sectors twice during the financial year in March and early September under the 'Minimum Wages Act-1948'.
In this list, the wages of uneducated, semi-educated and educated workers working in agriculture, kiln industry, industries and various other institutions are fixed. Paying less than the wages fixed in this list is a legal offense.
Referring to this new minimum wage list, Baldev Bharti said that from March 1, 2025, the daily wage has been fixed at Rs 438.06 for uneducated workers, Rs 468.06 for semi-educated workers, Rs 502.56 for educated workers, Rs 542.25 for highly educated workers, Rs 410.97 including food and Rs 456.91 without food for agricultural workers.
