The health department team collected samples of Petha and issued challans for cleanliness

Patiala, October 5 - Chaining has been intensified to provide clean food to the people, prevent adulteration in food and keeping in mind the festivals. A team of Food Safety Officer Tarun Bansal and Ishan Bansal, led by District Health Officer Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, raided Petha making factories in Focal Point and Tafajalpura of Patiala and collected samples of Petha, which will be sent to the laboratory for testing.

A team of Food Safety Officer Tarun Bansal and Ishan Bansal, led by District Health Officer Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, raided Petha making factories in Focal Point and Tafajalpura of Patiala and collected samples of Petha, which will be sent to the laboratory for testing.
If the test report is not correct, appropriate legal action will be taken against the concerned party. He said that challans were also issued for lack of cleanliness in the concerned factories. He said that as per the orders of the Punjab Government, personal hygiene, cleanliness of working places in the establishment and standard and quality of food items should be maintained during the manufacture and sale of food items.
He warned that appropriate legal action will be taken against those selling substandard and adulterated food items.
