Haryana Government's Big Decision - Electric Vehicles Will Get Incentive Again.

Chandigarh, July 24 - Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Mr. Rao Narbir Singh has taken a big decision to provide relief to the middle class consumers of the state. He has directed the officials to restore the subsidy given on electric vehicles worth less than Rs 40 lakh so that transport increases in favor of the environment and the common man can get its benefits.

Chandigarh, July 24 - Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister Mr. Rao Narbir Singh has taken a big decision to provide relief to the middle class consumers of the state. He has directed the officials to restore the subsidy given on electric vehicles worth less than Rs 40 lakh so that transport increases in favor of the environment and the common man can get its benefits.
Rao Narbir Singh was today leading a high-level review meeting with the officials of the Industries Department regarding the new MSME Policy. In the meeting, he was informed that currently, a subsidy of up to 15 percent is available only on electric vehicles worth more than Rs 40 lakh, which is out of the reach of the middle class. The Minister clearly said that increasing green energy will be meaningful only when its benefits reach the common man.

The state should get the central funds on time and the process should be time-bound-
The Minister clarified that the procedures at the state level for the subsidy amount received under various schemes of the Government of India should be completed within the stipulated time so that the funds are received on time and there is no hindrance in industrial development. He also directed the officials to complete the necessary amendments in the MSME Policy of 2019 soon and implement the new MSME Policy soon.

Haryana's strategic advantage- Ability to create proximity to Delhi and international airports-
Rao Narbir Singh said that the geographical location of Haryana is very advantageous. The state is not only a part of the national capital but also has direct connectivity with Indira Gandhi International Airport and Jewar Airport. He said that a modern, practical and inclusive new industrial policy should be prepared to attract investors from home and abroad, which would create new employment opportunities in the state.

Important schemes reviewed-
In the meeting, the Minister reviewed many schemes being run by the Central Government like RAMP Scheme, Padma Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Khad Prashana Udmi Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Scheme, Mini Cluster Scheme, Plug and Play Scheme, Haryana Udham and Employment Policy-2020.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner and Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department Dr. Amit Agarwal, Director General D. K. Behera and many senior officers of the department.
