
Discussion, Symposium and Kavi Darbar on Gurnam Bawa's Novel Zindagi Rahi To Phir Milenge
Phagwara - Nai Chetna Punjabi Lekhak Manch in collaboration with Central Punjabi Lekhak Sabha Sekhon organized a literary program dedicated to International Mother Language Day at Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan Urban Estate Phagwara and a discussion was organized on novelist Gurnam Bawa's second novel Zindagi Rahi To Phir Milenge.
Phagwara - Nai Chetna Punjabi Lekhak Manch in collaboration with Central Punjabi Lekhak Sabha Sekhon organized a literary program dedicated to International Mother Language Day at Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan Urban Estate Phagwara and a discussion was organized on novelist Gurnam Bawa's second novel Zindagi Rahi To Phir Milenge.
The program was presided over by renowned litterateur Niranjan Boha, Prof. Sandhu Wariyanvi (Public Secretary Central Punjabi Lekhak Sabha Sekhon), Advocate S.L. Virdi, Dr. Jagir Singh Noor, folk poet Jagdish Rana and world famous lyricist Makhan Luhar as chief guests.
On this occasion, while reading a booklet on the novel Zindagi Rahi To Phir Milenge, Niranjan Boha said that this novel openly talks about the social, economic and cultural events of the common man of the present time. He said that he sees novelist Gurnam Bawa as a great novelist in the future.
Participating in the discussion, Dr. Soma Sablok, Principal Navtej Gadhdiwala, Charanjit Gill Samalsar, Master Jinga Singh and Sandeep Nair said that most Punjabi novels are based on farmers or rural background, but the characters of this novel are completely different and Gurnam Bawa's style does not let the reader get lost anywhere.
Prof. Sandhu Varyanvi and Jagdish Rana said that Gurnam Bawa is a writer connected to the ground, so the characters of his novels are also common people. On this occasion, New Chetna Punjabi Writers Forum honored Niranjan Boha, Gurnam Bawa and world famous lyricist and Forum Chairman Makhan Luhar by giving wonderful souvenirs, books and gifts.
Gurnam Bawa, getting emotional on this occasion, said that it is a matter of great pride for him that famous Punjabi writers have commented on his novel. Makhan Luhar said that although he has been living abroad for a long time, he reads Punjabi writers a lot and expressing his happiness, he said that the New Chetna Punjabi Writers Forum established by him is doing good work.
In the end, Makhan Luhar, Dr. Soma Sablok, Taranjit Gogon, Jaswinder Singh Jassi, Ramnik Singh Ghuman, Hardayal Hoshiarpuri, Seerat Sikhyarthi, Jaswant Singh Majboor, Kulwinder Baghapurana, Manjit Singh, Sukhdev Gandhwan, Sheetal Banga, Prof. Raman Mashanvi etc. recited their compositions in the Kavi Darbar organized.
On this occasion, Sohan Sahjal, Praveen Banga, Sham Sargundi, Davinder Jassal, Gurmukh Lohar, Balbir Kaur Babbu Saini, Harish Bhandari, Gurdeep Singh Mukadam, Bhinder Patwari, Balwinder Guryan, Preet Mohdipuria, Amrit Pawar, Ghanshyam ji, Avtar Singh Lohar, Kamal Dharamshot, Avtar Singh Baghapurana, Satpal Sahlon, Banso Devi, Ravinder Singh Rai, Sodhi Satowali Makhan Alam, Deep Jagatpuri, Navnoor Kamal, Tony Dosanjh, Gamnu Bansal, Azad Rang Manch Biba Kulwant and others were present.
