This building will be equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities which will be built on the lines of Critical Care Unit (CCU) and the poor will get the best treatment here.
He said that with the construction of this 100-bed building, the capacity of Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital will be 200 beds. Apart from this, the design of this new building has been prepared in such a way that the general patients do not have to bear the risk of infection.
Mr. Vij said that the construction work of the first building was stopped due to a case in the Hon'ble High Court, after which tenders have now been floated for the construction work again after going to arbitration. Now the remaining construction work of the building will be completed soon at a cost of Rs 14.79 crore.
He said that at present the Civil Hospital has only 100 beds, but due to the continuously increasing number of patients, the hospital was facing shortage of beds, hence the construction of a new building is being done.

These facilities will be available in the seven-storey new building
Two basement floors- The new building will have a total of seven floors, of which there will be two basement floors, in which there will be parking for vehicles on one floor, while the AC plant and gas plant will be installed on the second floor.

In the Critical Care Unit, a close watch is kept on heart rate, blood pressure and other important physical signs. With this, doctors can immediately identify any abnormal symptoms and immediately treat them.
