Faridkot:- The Faridkot unit of the leading non-governmental social service organization LBCT (Lord Buddha Charitable Trust) today met with Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University Dr. Prof. Rajiv Sood at his office. The delegation, led by the District President of the Trust Jagdish Raj Bharti Bank Manager (R), was specially joined by the Founder Chairman of the Trust Jagdish Rai Dhosiwal Muktsar.
During the meeting, Vice Chancellor and international level urologist Dr. Rajiv Sood and the constituency MLA Gurdit Singh Sekhon MLA, who is always striving to solve people's problems on a priority basis, congratulated Dr. Sood for making the university internationally recognized and for his irresponsible administrative efficiency.
It is noteworthy that with the joint efforts of Dr. Sood and Gurdit Singh Sekhon, as the official member of the university's governing body, the university has earned the honor of being a green university by making a name for itself at the international level.
Not only this, modern life-saving machines worth crores of rupees have been purchased in Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital. 75 MBBS seats have been increased in the college. There is a possibility of establishing a BDS college in the college soon. Punjab's first skill training center has been opened in the university for fire fighters.
Such centers will be opened by the university in other cities of Punjab as well. During the meeting, President Dhosiwal said that as a social worker, he is in touch with many government institutions and organizations. He further said that it is clear that all appointments and promotions in the university are made as per government rules and running roster system.
Every category of employee is given his due rights. For which Dr. Sood and Mr. Sekhon deserve congratulations. Dhosiwal further said that it seems that Vice Chancellor Dr. Sood follows the policy of “whoever employee comes, he leaves with his due rights”. During the meeting, Dr. Sood said that he performs his duty with full dedication, honesty and as per the government rules and will continue to do so in the future as well.
Dhosiwal has informed that the delegation included the District Chief Patron of the Trust Madam Hirawati Naib Tehsildar (R), Madam Ravinder Kaur Nursing Supervisor (R), Malkit Singh Mamman Lecturer (R), GP Chhabra Senior Bank Manager (R), Shri Krishna RA (R), renowned writer and social worker Shivnath Dardi, Veer Singh Kameana and Balkar Singh Sahota etc.
For Dr. Sood’s excellent administrative style, the Trust also presented a special token of appreciation through Madam Hirawati and Madam Ravinder Kaur. Dhosiwal further informed that the trust will also meet and congratulate MLA Mr. Sekhon, who has made significant contributions to the progress of the university.
