SAS Nagar, August 28 - Mohali Police has arrested three motorcycle thieves and recovered 5 stolen motorcycles from them. In this regard, DSP City 2 Mr. Harsimran Singh Bal said that these persons have been arrested during the operation being conducted to control the bad elements as per the orders of SSP Mr. Harmandeep Singh Hans.
He said that recently, a complaint was filed by Sukhraj Singh, a resident of Sector 68, that his motorcycle number PB 65 BF 1383 was stolen by an unknown person, in which regard a case was registered under Section 303(2) of the BHNS at Police Station Phase 8 Mohali and investigation was initiated.
He said that during the investigation, Havildar Surinder Singh arrested Malkit Singh, resident of village Ghutia Wali Bodla, district Fazilka, Harpreet Singh, resident of Nawan Mubanke, district Fazilka and Manjit Singh, resident of village Mohammadpiran Dhati, Pukhriyawali (Kotha), district Fazilka in this case and recovered the stolen motorcycle from them.
He said that the police have obtained the police remand of the accused and they are being interrogated. So far, the police have recovered 5 stolen motorcycles.
