Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 16: MLA Kulwant Singh said here today that Punjabis have the spirit of facing difficulties with courage, which is evidenced by the people helping each other on a humanitarian basis amidst the recent flood situation.
He said that it is in the blood of Punjabis to stand with the people in any hour of trouble and they have always been helping the affected people, no matter where they live in the country or abroad. He said that even now, when the people of Punjab have faced trouble due to floods, the people of Punjab are stepping up to help their brothers.
MLA Kulwant Singh made the above statement while handing over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund by the Mata Kalsi Istri Bhalai and Satsang Society of Mohali, Sri Guru Ravidas Bhawan Phase 7, Mohali, under this sacred cause.
He thanked the members of the society for their contribution to the flood victims and appealed to other organizations engaged in social welfare work to also make their valuable contribution to the flood victims of Punjab in this difficult time.
