SAS Nagar, September 8 - Police of Police Station Phase 1 have arrested a person who was involved in house thefts and recovered stolen goods from his possession.
DSP City 1 Mr. Prithvi Singh Chahal said that in this regard, Arun, who lives in a PG in Phase 5, had complained that his silver chain and laptop had been stolen, in which regard the police had registered a case under Sections 331(3), 305 of the IPC.
He said that during the investigation of the case, the team of Chief Officer of Police Station Phase 1 Sukhbir Singh while tracing the case, nominated and arrested Gaurav, a resident of Bayi, Tehsil: Ghumarsain, District Shimla. He said that during the in-depth interrogation of this person, he has confessed to the crime of theft and under police remand, three laptops, a silver chain, 2 mobile phones, 1 smart watch and 3 simple watches and Rs 11,600 in cash have been recovered from him. He said that on the basis of the recovered items, section 317(2) of the BNS has been added to the case. The police is investigating.
