Patiala, January 16 - Under the leadership of District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson, District Legal Services Authority Rupinderjit Chahal and under the supervision of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Mani Arora, Health Department and Jail at Central Jail, Patiala and New District Jail, Nabha. A medical camp was organized with the support of the administration. During the medical camp organized in Central Jail, Patiala and Open Air Jail, Nabha, a total of 269 prisoners were medically examined by expert doctors.
   Apart from this, a legal awareness program was also organized by District Legal Services Authority, Patiala at ADR Centre, District Court Complex, Patiala. During this program Mani Arora, Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Patiala and Rajan Verma, Panel Advocate informed the people present about Punjab Victim Compensation Scheme, Nalsa Compensation Scheme for Women Victims/Survivors of Sexual Assault/Other Crimes. , 2018, raised awareness about free legal services and the upcoming National Lok Adalat.
