The national female personality dedicated to the blood donation movement was remembered.

Nawanshahr: Dr. Smt. Kanta Sarup Krishna, one of the pioneers of blood donation movement in the country, has passed away. As per the wish of the famous personality dedicated to blood donation awareness in the country, her body was handed over to PGI by her family living in Chandigarh for medical research.

It is relevant to mention here that the foundation stone of the local BDC Blood Center was also laid by Smt. Dr. Kanta Sarup Krishna in 1991. Today she was remembered in a simple condolence ceremony at the blood donation center.
On this occasion, Sulakshan Sareen, Gurinder Singh Toor, JS Gidda, Dr. Ajay Bagga remembered the blood donation movement of the departed soul. After this, floral tributes were offered and candles were lit in front of the photo of Dr. Kanta Sarup Krishna.
Joga Singh Sadhra, Rajinder Kaur Gidda, Palwinder Kaur Badwal, Manager Manmeet Singh and staff were present on this occasion.
