Faridkot- Today, a meeting was held with Honorable Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO, Powercom and Transco Chairman Ajoy Kumar Sinha and Deputy Secretary IR Ranbir Singh at PSPCL Guest House Chandigarh in a very comfortable atmosphere.
In this meeting, the union placed various rights demands before the Power Minister, including the demand for merging the employees within the department and the Power Minister asked for two months' time, in which he told that a policy would be prepared.
The demands of equal work, equal pay and overtime, risk allowance, mobile allowance etc. were discussed in a very detailed manner, in which it was agreed by the Power Minister that the employees are eligible to get such as overtime and risk allowance, and directions were given to the CMD to take action on this.
The meeting was attended by Powercom and Transco Outsourced Workers Union (ATK) State President Harvinder Sharma, General Secretary Harvinder Singh Happy Sangrur, Senior Vice President Ram Chauhan Patiala and Finance Secretary Hardeep Singh Badshahpur.
